# Terms & Conditions
The basis on which we quote for and deliver electrical and fire compliance testing, certification and remedial works.

## These terms
These terms apply to quotations issued by Test Master Ltd, trading as Test Master UK, and to the testing, inspection and remedial work we carry out for you. By accepting a quotation or instructing us to attend, you accept these terms.

## Quotations and pricing
Our pricing is quote-led. We do not publish rates, because the price depends on the number of appliances, circuits or assets involved, the site itself and the access arrangements. Quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation.

A quotation is based on the information you give us. If the scope found on site differs materially from what was described, for example a significantly higher asset or circuit count, we will tell you before continuing and confirm any revised price with you.

## Booking, access and site conditions
Attendance is scheduled with you in advance and coordinated by our Operations Manager. You are responsible for providing safe access to the areas, equipment and distribution boards in scope, and for arranging any permits, escorts or induction your site requires.

Risk assessments and method statements are issued on request where your site requires them before access is granted. Please tell us at the point of booking if RAMS are needed.

Where access cannot be provided, or the site is not in a state that allows the work to proceed safely, we may need to reschedule. Costs of an abortive visit caused by lack of access may be chargeable.

## Carrying out the work
Testing and inspection are carried out by our engineers, who may include subcontracted engineers working on our behalf. Fire risk assessments are delivered in partnership with IFSM and FPA-accredited fire safety specialists.

Testing can require equipment or circuits to be temporarily switched off or disconnected. Where equipment is critical to your operation, tell us in advance so it can be scheduled appropriately. Items found unsafe will be recorded as a failure and, where appropriate, withdrawn from use or labelled accordingly.

Our inspection reflects the condition of the equipment or installation at the time of testing. It is not a warranty of future performance or of parts that are concealed or inaccessible.

## Certificates, reports and payment
Certificates and reports are issued digitally, typically within one day of payment. Documentation is released once payment for the visit has been received.

Invoices are payable in accordance with the terms stated on the invoice or quotation. Ownership of the report and certification remains with us until payment is received in full.

## Observations and remedial works
Where testing or an assessment raises observations, they are recorded and coded in your report with the remedial action required. Remedial works are quoted and carried out as a separate instruction unless already included in the agreed scope.

Acting on the observations in your report is your responsibility as the duty holder. We will price and complete the work if you instruct us to, and re-document the compliant position on completion.

## Cancellation and rescheduling
Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to move or cancel a booked visit. Late cancellation may be chargeable where engineers have already been allocated or have travelled to site.

## Insurance and liability
We hold £5,000,000 public liability insurance and professional indemnity cover up to £2,500,000. Certificates are available on request for your contractor or tender pack.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our liability in connection with the work is limited to the value of the work carried out, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profit, loss of business or loss of use.

## Your information
We handle personal information in line with our privacy policy, which explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

## Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

## Questions
If anything here needs clarifying before you instruct us, call 07597 452886 or contact us. See also our privacy policy.
