## Before and after, job by job

Commercial office, West London

### Whole-floor PAT testing without taking desks out of use
Portable appliance testing across laptops, chargers, monitors, desk fans, kitchen appliances and a large population of extension leads and four-way adaptors, plus labelling and a full asset register.

BeforeNo usable inventory of powered equipment, unlabelled leads, and daisy-chained adaptors under desks. Nobody could say when anything was last tested, and the managing agent had asked for evidence.

AfterEvery item labelled with a pass or fail result, failed leads withdrawn and recorded, and a digital register issued so next year's retest starts from a known list rather than a walk-around.

- PAT Testing

Residential portfolio, Greater London

### Landlord EICRs brought onto one schedule across a portfolio
Electrical Installation Condition Reports across tenanted flats and HMO rooms, with observations coded and remedial pricing quoted alongside the reports.

BeforeCertificates expiring on different dates, some held only as photos on a phone, and a letting held up because the report for one unit could not be produced.

AfterOne inspection schedule across the portfolio, digitally issued reports filed per property, and C1 and C2 observations quoted for remedial works so nothing was left as an open finding.

- Residential EICR Certificates
- Remedial Works for Fire Compliance

Construction site, London and Home Counties

### Site tool testing on a 3-monthly cycle with RAMS before access
Frequent-interval PAT testing of 110V transformers, task lighting, grinders, drills, extension leads and site kettles, with RAMS issued in advance of attendance.

BeforeMixed hire and owned tools with no traceable test history, and a principal contractor refusing access until risk assessments and method statements were on file.

AfterRAMS supplied ahead of the visit, tools tested and labelled on a 3-monthly cycle appropriate to a construction environment, and failed items segregated with the reason recorded.

- PAT Testing

Multi-site commercial client

### Fire alarm, emergency lighting and extinguisher testing under one contract
Combined fire alarm testing, emergency lighting function and duration testing, and annual extinguisher servicing across several occupied premises, coordinated as one programme.

BeforeThree separate suppliers, three invoicing cycles, and a compliance log book with gaps because nobody owned the overall schedule.

AfterOne programme run by a dedicated Operations Manager, results recorded per site, and defects listed with the remedial action required rather than left as a note in a log book.

- Fire Alarm Testing
- Emergency Lighting Testing
- Fire Extinguisher Servicing

HMO and supported living

### Fire door inspection and fire risk assessment with remedials closed out
Fire door, seal and closer inspections alongside a fire risk assessment delivered in partnership with IFSM and FPA-accredited fire safety specialists, followed by remedial works.

BeforeDoors that would not latch, missing intumescent strips, and an assessment document with actions that had never been actioned.

AfterDoor condition documented room by room, assessment actions prioritised, and the remedial works carried out and re-documented so the compliant state was evidenced rather than assumed.

- Fire Door Inspection
- Fire Risk Assessments
- Remedial Works for Fire Compliance

Theatre and events venue

### Short-notice testing before a performance went ahead
Immediate PAT testing of equipment required for a live performance, attended at very short notice.

BeforeEquipment due on stage the same day with no valid test evidence, and a performance at risk of not proceeding.

AfterEngineer attended straight away, items tested and labelled on site, and the performance went ahead: the job a client described in a Google review as saving the day.

- PAT Testing

What the work has in common

## Competence you can verify, not just claim

### Documentation you can hand over
Certificates, asset registers and observation lists are issued digitally, typically within one day of payment, in a form you can forward to a managing agent, insurer or principal contractor without editing.

### Occupied buildings are the normal case
The work above was carried out around staff, tenants, residents and performances. Scheduling around occupants and trading hours is the default, not a special arrangement.

### Findings do not stop at the report
Where you want observations resolved, we carry out remedial works for fire and electrical compliance and re-document the result, so the file closes properly.

### Insured and pre-qualified
£5,000,000 public liability, professional indemnity up to £2,500,000, Constructionline Bronze membership, and RAMS issued on request for sites that need them.

Read what clients said afterwards on our reviews page, or see who we are.

## Tell us about your site and we will price it
Send the asset, circuit or site count and the deadline you are working to. We return a fixed, quote-led price for free, and certificates are issued digitally, typically within one day of payment.
