# Planning PAT testing, EICR testing and fire safety across multiple London sites
By Test Master UK13 September 20262 min read

Service illustration: property managementA multi-site compliance programme should make each property's requirements visible rather than force every site onto an identical timetable. A London portfolio may include an office, an HMO and a retail unit with different systems and responsibilities. Central coordination helps only when the records preserve those differences and the action list shows what remains unresolved.

## Create a reliable site register
Record the address, use, responsible contacts and relevant systems for each site. Attach previous reports, licence conditions where applicable and access restrictions. Distinguish the landlord's installation from tenant equipment and shared systems so quotes and appointments follow the right responsibility boundaries.

Use consistent site identifiers in appliance registers, alarm records and invoices. Similar room names across several buildings can otherwise make an action difficult to locate. Keep local contacts current so the central team can obtain access and follow up defects.

## Schedule by real requirements
Take due dates from reports, agreed risk-based maintenance plans and applicable conditions. Avoid choosing an annual portfolio visit and assuming it satisfies every requirement. One site's earlier inspection date or recurring fault should remain visible even when most sites are not due.

Group appointments geographically where practical, but do not let convenient travel dictate a safety deadline. Ask providers to confirm whether the equipment counts and scope support the proposed attendance window.

## Give every visit a defined scope
State what is included, how interruptions will be managed and which outputs are expected. Installation testing, appliance testing and fire safety maintenance can be coordinated but remain separate tasks. Identify who accepts each report and who can authorise follow-up work.

Coordinate commercial EICR testing and PAT testing by site. Local pages such as PAT testing in Greenford and fire safety compliance in Ealing provide service-specific enquiry routes for London premises.

## Report actions, not just completed visits
A dashboard should show unresolved findings, responsible people and completion evidence as well as certificates received. Escalate overdue safety actions through an agreed process. Retain site-level records when equipment moves or a property leaves the portfolio so its history does not disappear.

- Site identity, contacts and responsibility boundaries.
- Report-led and risk-based due dates.
- Agreed scope, access and interruption arrangements.
- A central action list backed by site-level evidence.
